Notes From a Young Girl is an intimate, autoethnographic project exploring memory, trauma and gender using 117 notes written between January 2014 and April 2021. Drawing on theories by Sara Ahmed, Elizabeth Ettorre and Legacy Russell among many others to situate her autoethnography in a contemporary writing practice, Chloe guides the reader through a narrative as she comes to terms with a series of traumas encountered over her lifetime. It is a coming of age story, a coming out story, a coming to terms story.
